Chitwan, Sept 25: The rainfall continued for two days has led to the closure of Narayangadh-Muglin section of the Prithvi highway.
Vehicles are not allowed on the stretch since 8:00 pm yesterday. Landslides occurred at different spots along the stretch blocked the roadway, according to Superintendent of Police Rameshwar Paudel from the District Police Office.
However, on Friday afternoon, vehicles heading towards Pokhara and those coming from Narayangadh, halted over the obstruction, were allowed to move by managing one-way passage.
As the rock fall is occurring from time to time, the roads are not safe and credible for nighttime travel. Given the ongoing risks, local authorities have decided to restrict vehicles at night.
