‘Toltolma’ Film Festival begins with ‘Penguin Revolution’ and ‘Sawari Sahitya’

Kathmandu, June 20: Kathmandu Metropolitan City ‘Toltolma Film Festival’ or Film Festival in every neighbourhood has begun.

On Friday, the short film ‘Nanda’ directed by Aman Shahi, ‘Sawari Sahitya’ directed by Tarang and ‘Penguin Revolution’ directed by Ishan Bhusal were screened at the khula manch or open theatre.
According to KMC spokesperson Naveen Manandhar, the short films to be screened at these programs have been obtained in collaboration with the Film Development Board, British Council Nepal, UNESCO, Kathmandu Mountain International Film Festival, and Nepal Film Academy.

Various local partner organisations have joined to host the film festival programs in public places, parks, squares, and chowks.

The KMC says that the main objective of this festival is to connect the creative industry and community to contribute to the development and expansion of the Nepali film sector.
