Galkot (Baglung), April 29: Tea produced in Tarakhola rural municipality of Baglung district has set a new record in its quality.
Two types of tea of Golden Tea Estate Pvt Ltd located at Tarakhola rural municipality-1 have secured first position in the Tea Tasting Competition organised in Ilam on Tuesday on the occasion of Tea Day.
The National Tea and Coffee Development Board had organised the competition where the Golden Tea Estate won the taste testing competition in two categories out of four categories.
A total of 45 tea brands produced by 45 tea companies had participated in the competition. Greenish Orthodox and Golden Tea secured first position out of Greenish Orthodox, Golden Tea, White Tea and Green Tea categories, shared Nagendra Subedi of Tea and Coffee Development Board, Pokhara.
Company owner Shishir Gharti Magar mentioned that securing first position in tea testing completion by tea produced in Tarakhola is the matter of pride. He has done tea farming on around 100 ropanis of land in Tarakhola.
