Kathmandu, July 4: The government has appointed noted author, Tirtha Prasad Shrestha, as member-secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).
Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadak Raj Paudel, also the chairperson of the PADT Governing Council, appointed Shrestha to the post as per the minister-level decision of July 1-2, stated the information released by the Ministry on Friday.
Newly-appointed member-secretary Shrestha also assumed the office. After taking charge of the office, Shrestha pledged to work in facilitating worships and prayers at the Pashupati Temple, enhancing transparency in all functionaries of the Trust and preserving culture, tradition and religious values at the Pashupati area.
