Kathmandu, July 26: Police have arrested Roshan Kunwar, 24, originally from Tanahu district for vandalizing a statue of adikavi Bhanubhatka Acharya placed at Ghansi Sambad Park in Lajung district.
Kunwar also damaged a statue of a person from Birgunj. Both statues were set up in the same park.
District Police Office, Lamjung has arrested Kunwar, 24, currently staying in Lamjung. He damaged the statues on the night of July 24.
Further investigation is underway under a case of criminal nuisance, keeping him in detention with the permission from district court, the police added.
