Kathmandu, Aug 13: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has expressed deep grief over the death of seven persons and disappearance of five others in a landslide occurred at Kotalbara of Thabang-5, Rolpa on Thursday.
RSP General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya issued a press release, drawing government’s attention towards urgency of search for the missing persons and effective treatment to the injured ones. Immediate rescue, relief and treatment for free of cost are imperative, Acharya reminded the government, adding that it was equally necessary to identify settlements at risk and immediate relocation.
All three tiers of government are urged to extend coordination for disaster management and make effective the early warning system. He also appealed to those residing on the river banks to maintain precaution in view of the torrential rains causing floods. Even the RSP rank and file is urged to extend cooperation to the government for disaster management.
