Kathmandu, Oct 16: Prime Minister Balendra Shah is likely to embark on a visit to India in the last week of this November.
Talking to media persons on Friday, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shisir Khanal, shared information on it. It is noted that various media reported that the Prime Minister’s India visit was likely to take place in the last week of November.
“However, as of today, we have not yet officially finalized anything,” the Foreign Minister said, adding that the government had, since its formation, been in a regular contact with the Government of India.
Minister Khanal said they wished that Prime Minister’s upcoming visit would remain result-oriented and productive. “We wish to see some positive progress on issues such as trade and transit, connectivity, energy and border-related matters during the visit,” he said.
As he indicted, various bilateral agreements are expected during the visit. This will be Prime Minister Shah’s first visit to India since he assumed the office on March 27.
