Nepal playing against Bangladesh at home turf in T20 International Series

Kathmandu, Sept 17: The Nepali national men’s cricket team is going to play a T20 international series against Bangladesh for the first time.

According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), the bilateral series between Nepal and Bangladesh will be held on the 26th, 28th and 30th of March, 2027.

CAN Secretary Paras Khadka said in a statement that Nepal was set to play the series against Bangladesh in memory of those who died in the Bhotekoshi flood.

“We are pleased to inform that the cricket series between Nepal and Bangladesh scheduled for next March will be dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the recent devastating floods in Nepal,” Paras wrote on social media Facebook on Wednesday evening.

The CAN Secretary further stated that beyond cricket, this series will convey a message of solidarity, compassion, and friendship between Nepal and Bangladesh as the two neighbouring countries, Nepal and Bangladesh, share strong people-to-people ties as well as a mutual love for cricket.

Khadka has also expressed gratitude to the Bangladesh Cricket Board for their enthusiasm to play the series. CAN has stated that the series between Nepal and Bangladesh will take place at Tribhuvan University Stadium in Kirtipur.
