Jeep accident in Achham; Two dead, three injured

Achham, May 30: Two people died and three other were injured when a jeep accident occurred last night on the Mid-Hill Highway in Panchadewal Binayak municipality-4, Thapamod of Achham district.
The jeep (BAP 01-027 CH 2277) heading to Jumla from Darchula fell around 200 metres off the road. Achham Police Chief, DSP Om Prakash Khanal, informed that the critically injured, 41-year-old Navin Tuladhar hailing from Hetauda sub-metropolitan city, Makwanpur, and 45-year-old Ram Prakash Tharu of Bansghari municipality-5, Bardiya, died while undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital in Surkhet.

According to him, Sant Kumar Sah, 27, of Kalyanpur municipality-10, Siraha, Arjun Kumar Paudel of Fedikhola rural municipality-4, Syangja, and jeep driver Raj Rajendra Bhimraj Chatta Gupta, 28, residing in Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-5, are undergoing treatment.

A police team immediately mobilized from Belkhet rescued the injured and took them to Rakam Karnali Primary Hospital in Dailekh. They were referred to Surkhet for further treatment after initial treatment at that hospital.
