Kathmandu, June 4 : Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal will leave for a three-day official visit to India on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday.
According to the ministry, Minister Khanal will visit India from June 5 to 7 at the cordial invitation of Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar.
During the visit, Khanal is scheduled to hold formal bilateral talks with his Indian counterpart in New Delhi. The discussions will focus on various issues of mutual interest between Nepal and India, the ministry said.
Key agenda items include strengthening bilateral trade, investment, connectivity, cooperation in the energy sector, and enhancing people-to-people relations between the two neighboring countries.
The ministry expressed confidence that the visit, taking place as part of regular high-level exchanges, would further deepen and strengthen the diplomatic, historical, and multifaceted ties between Nepal and India.
