Rasuwa, Sept 4: A Nepali Army squad mobilized for the rescue of those trapped inside the tunnel of Trishuli-3 ‘A’ hydropower pulled a dead body today.
The retrieved dead body was of a person trapped inside the tunnel since the catastrophic floods that occurred on August 26.
A local Seshnath Bhattarai from Simle area of Nuwakot where the search and rescue operation is going informed that the dead body was pulled from the tunnel.
The rescuers’ squad comprises Nepali Army persons, the Armed Police Force, the Nepal Police and even the US and Chinese tunnel rescue experts.
From the very tunnel, the security persons had rescued alive two persons earlier today.
Meanwhile, spokesperson of the Nepali Army, Rajaram Basnet, informed that the rescue team mobilized in the tunnel has 75 NA staffs and 18 APF persons.
Assistant chief district officer in Rasuwa, Dhruba Prasad Adhikari, informed RSS that distribution of humanitarian aids was intensified in the district with the mobilization of helicopter.
