Agency, Oct 5: Portugal secured their fourth consecutive victory in the UEFA Nations League, defeating Norway 2-1 on Sunday night.
Playing at home, Portugal came from behind to claim all three points, with João Cancelo and Gonçalo Ramos finding the net. Kristoffer Ajer scored Norway’s only goal.
Norway took the lead in the 36th minute when Ajer converted to put the visitors ahead. Portugal responded just two minutes later, with Cancelo equalizing in the 38th minute.
Gonçalo Ramos then completed Portugal’s comeback in the 79th minute, scoring to give the hosts a 2-1 lead.
Portugal were reduced to 10 men in the 87th minute after Francisco Conceição was shown a red card. However, Norway were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage as Portugal held on for the victory.
