Hope for rescue alive after rescue of two people alive: Home Minister Gurung

Kathmandu, Sept 4: Minister for Home Affairs Sudhan Gurung has said that the rescue of two individuals alive from the tunnel of the Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project after ten days has kept a ray of hope alive.

Through the social media platform Facebook, he has expressed his gratitude to the teams from the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and the Central Command Center for their dedicated involvement in rescue operations despite persistent and difficult challenges.

Employees Sanjay Sah and Kabir Maharjan, who were trapped in the tunnel of the Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project, were rescued this morning.

The Home Minister stated that the rescue team is still continuously carrying out rescue operation inside the tunnel.

Home Minister Gurung was at the site to boost the morale of Sah and Maharjan both, as well as the rescue team, during the operation to rescue the two men safely from the tunnel.

He has expressed high appreciation for the work of lawmakers Sagar Dhakal and Shriram Neupane, who are making continuous efforts to search for and rescue those who went missing in the floods.
