Rolpa, Aug 14: Three people have been missing after a landslide buried a house in Phalabang village, Ward 2, Sunchhahari Rural Municipality, Rolpa, on Thursday night.
According to Krishna Shrestha, the officiating information officer and police inspector at the District Police Office Rolpa, a landslide triggered by continuous rain on Thursday night buried a house in Phalabang village of Sunchhahari Rural Municipality-2 in Rolpa.
The house-owner Bir Bahadur Gharti Magar, his wife Shani Gharti Magar, and their neighbor Lali Gharti Magar, who had come to stay in the house, have gone missing in the incident, Shrestha said. The police, with the help of locals, continue to clear the landslide debris and conduct search operations.
Similarly, in Giththe village, ward no. 2 of Sunchhahari Rural Municipality, the house of Lade Budhamagar has also been buried by a landslide, police inspector Shrestha said. A police team is currently on the way to the site.
