Three NA Members Resign to Contest House Elections

Kathmandu, Jan 18:   Three members of the National Assembly have resigned from their posts in order to contest the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives.

Parliament spokesperson Ekram Giri said leaders of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) — Bamdev Gautam and Narayankaji Shrestha — along with NCP (UML) leader Bhagwati Neupane, submitted their resignations to National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Prasad Dahal.

Gautam will contest from Bardiya–1, Shrestha from Sarlahi–3, and Neupane from Tanahun–1. Their terms in the National Assembly were due to expire on Falgun 20.
