Health Minister Sharma visits injured persons of Gen Z protest at various hospitals

Kathmandu, Oct 27: Minister for Health and Population, Dr Sudha Sharma Gautam, today visited those injured during the September 8–9 Gen Z protest and are receiving treatment in hospitals.

The Minister visited Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) in Sinamangal, and the National Trauma Centre to take stock of the health updates of the injured ones.

“The injured are receiving proper treatment. The condition of some patients is improving, while some are still in critical state,” the Health Minister told the media, promising to leave no stone unturned in providing them quality care.

She further expressed her hope that the movement’s efforts would not go to waste. “I urge all those who oppose the movement and attempt to spoil the election atmosphere not to do so,” she added.

According to the latest updates from the Ministry, 11 Gen Zs injured during the movement are being treated at various hospitals across the country: four at the National Trauma Centre, three at TUTH, two at KMC, one at B&B Hospital, and one at Nobel Medical College, Biratnagar.
