Agency, Aug 22: Manchester United suffered a disappointing start to their Premier League campaign, falling to a 2-0 defeat against Hull City on Saturday evening.
At the MKM Stadium, Semi Ajayi and Nobel Mendy scored a goal each to secure a memorable victory for Hull City.
Ajayi opened the scoring in the 17th minute, giving the hosts an early lead. Mendy then doubled Hull’s advantage in the 38th minute with a well-taken finish.
Manchester United were unable to find a way back into the game after the break, with neither side adding to the score as Hull City held on for a convincing 2-0 victory.
The result marks Hull City’s return to the Premier League for the first time since the 2016/17 season.
