Kathmandu, Aug 6: The Tribhuvan University (TU) is formulating its policies and programmes in order to make its service delivery more effective, convenient and transparent.
Detailed discussion were held about the policies and programmes for the current fiscal year 2083/084 in today’s meeting of the standing committee of the university’s planning council today. The policies and programmes passed by the standing committee will be presented to the university senate through the full meeting of the planning council.
In the meeting, the university’s Vice Chancellor and Chairman of the planning council, Prof. Bhola Thapa, emphasized that priority should be given to improving the overall quality of the university’s education, administration, and research areas.
Vice Chancellor Thapa said that Dr. Laxmikant Sharma, Director of the Planning Directorate and Secretary of the Planning Council, provided detailed information about the main topics and priorities included in the upcoming policies and programmes.
The members attending the meeting shared their suggestions on making the policies and programmes timely, high-quality, and technology-friendly. It has been stated that the suggestions raised during the discussion will be compiled and presented at the upcoming Tribhuvan University senate through a full meeting of the Planning Council.
