Speaker Aryal inquires about state of construction of Parliament building

Kathmandu, April 13: Speaker Dol Prasad (DP) Aryal inquired about the construction work of the Parliament building.

In a discussion with the employees of the Ministry of Urban Development and representatives of the construction company today, he also directed to complete the construction of the building on time.

National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rubi Kumari Thakur, and Vice Chair of the National Assembly Lila Kumari Bhandari were also present in the discussion.

The Tundi Sheikh JV has been awarded the contract for the construction of the Parliament building. Although the initial target was to complete it within three years, the time has been extended six times so far.

According to the latest agreement, the construction should be completed by the month of May. The Ministry of Urban Development has stated that about 94 percent of the construction of the building has been completed so far.
