Sichuan Airlines conducts promotional flight

Kaski, Dec 26: The Sichuan Airlines conducted a promotional flight from the P0khara International Airport to the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu on Thursday.

The ‘Airbus 319’ carrying 126 passengers including Gandaki Province Minister for Industry and Tourism, Mitra Lal Basyal, high level employees, tourism entrepreneurs and media persons landed on TIA in the afternoon.

Earlier in the morning, the Sichuan Airlines with 129 passengers had conducted a flight from Chendu of China to Pokhara.

With this, the Pokhara International Airport witnessed the operation of airbus in full capacity.
Following a press conference at TIA, Director General at Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Pradip Adhikari, informed that there was no any problem for planes in landing at and taking off from the Pokhara International Airport.

The promotional flight with successful handling of aircraft showed that there were no problems in runway nor the nuisance from nearby hill, he argued. “It proved conducting airbus flight is viable now,” he added, urging for private sector’s cooperation to this regard.
