Short of time to complete hearing on NC legitimacy case

Kathmandu, April 16: The Supreme Court faced a short of time to complete hearing on a writ petition relating to legitimacy of the Nepali Congress (NC) and its schedule for 15th general convention.

A division bench of justices Sharanga Subedi and Nripa Dhwoj Niraula said that they could not conclude hearing the case on Thursday, thereby pushing it for next day bench.
A faction belonging to then President of NC, Sher Bahadur Deuba, had filed a writ petition against Election Commission’s decision of legitimizing the NC under leadership of Gagan Kumar Thapa who was elected party President via NC general convention.
