Kathmandu, Aug 4: MPs from the ruling party, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), representing Sudurpaschim Province have expressed their commitment to raising their voices in parliament about the good work done by the government.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Balendra Shah at his office, they praised the government for its notable work in the field of good governance and mentioned the aim of informing the public about the government’s good work through Parliament.
In the discussion, the MPs also raised issues from their constituencies with the Prime Minister. Khemraj Koirala, the MP from Kailali-4, mentioned that the Prime Minister’s response in the meeting was in the positive.
“I talked about running the Geta University. Besides that, I’ve also talked about solving the problem caused by stray animals in the Tarai areas of Kailali and Kanchanpur. We’ve also raised issues about the Dhangadhi–Khutiya–Dipayal fast track and electrification, and the Prime Minister is positive about the topics we brought up,” he said.
KP Khanal, the MP from Kailali-2, said that they shared to the prime minister about managing stray cattle from Chisapani to Mahendranagar in Kailali, reducing road accidents, building embankments, setting up a 300-bed hospital at Geta University, and the party’s activities. Khanal mentioned that the Prime Minister was positive about solving the problems.
Harimohan Bhandari, the MP from Baitadi, informed the Prime Minister about the Pancheshwar Multipurpose Project, the West Seti Hydropower Project, and other local issues.
Jagatsingh Dhami, the MP from Kanchanpur-1, raised issues during the meeting with the Prime Minister about border management, customs problems, the issues of the security personnel, the postal road, buying and selling of rice for farmers, and river erosion in the Dodhara–Chandani area.
MPs Tara Prasad Joshi, Khemraj Koirala, Harimohan Bhandari, Janaksingh Dhami, Komal Gyawali, Gyanendra Mehta, Jagat Joshi, and KP Khanal, among others, participated in the meeting.
