Agency, Aug 22: Cristiano Ronaldo scored in his first appearance of the season as Al Nassr secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League on Friday night.
Playing at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Stadium, Al Nassr took the lead in the 18th minute through Abdullah Al-Amri. Angelo then doubled the advantage in first-half stoppage time to give the visitors a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.
João Félix extended Al Nassr’s lead in the 58th minute, putting the side firmly in control. Ronaldo, who came on as a substitute in the 83rd minute, completed the scoring shortly after his introduction to seal a comprehensive 4-0 victory.
Al Nassr now have six points from two matches and sit at the top of the Saudi Pro League standings. Al Riyadh, meanwhile, remain at the bottom of the table without a point from their opening two games.
The victory marks a strong start to the league campaign for Al Nassr, with Ronaldo making an immediate impact on his return to competitive action.
