Kathmandu, Sept, 7: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Monday.
According to the RSP, Rubio expressed condolences for those who lost their lives in the Bhotekoshi floods and conveyed solidarity with the Nepali people and the government.
During the conversation, Lamichhane said the RSP was making every possible effort to support the government’s ongoing search, rescue and relief operations.
He also assured Rubio that Nepal remains committed to ensuring the safety and protection of foreign nationals affected by the recent floods.
Lamichhane thanked the US government for the assistance it has provided to Nepal during the difficult situation.
The RSP said Rubio, for his part, expressed the US government’s readiness to provide additional assistance to Nepal.
