Kathmandu, July 11: A 45-year-old man from Buddhanagar in Kathmandu, who had set himself on fire earlier Saturday, died while undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital this afternoon. He has been identified as Ashwin Raut.
According to the Dr KD Joshi Burn Treatment Centre at the hospital, Raut was brought to the hospital on Saturday with burns covering 70 percent of his body. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Centre’s Head Dr Apar Lamichhane said the medical team made every possible effort to save his life. He added that the burns had severely affected Raut’s face and respiratory tract.
