Kathmandu, Nov, 7: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has criticised the government’s working style, comparing it to a Hindi spy film and describing its activities as mysterious and unpredictable.
Speaking at a programme in Kathmandu on Saturday, Prachanda said the government’s actions had created an atmosphere of uncertainty and unrest in the country.
“Just as Hindi spy films portray strange and impossible incidents, the government is also functioning in a similar manner. There is no certainty about which journalist will be arrested, who will be attacked or what might happen next,” he said.
He added that the time would come to speak in detail about the government’s activities.
Prachanda also criticised the narrative that Nepal had achieved nothing over the past 35 years. He said significant progress had been made in political and development sectors, including the establishment of a republic, federalism, social inclusion, infrastructure and energy.
He stressed that the contributions of previous political parties and the country’s achievements should not be dismissed while evaluating the performance of the current government.
