For this humanitarian effort to collect financial assistance for flood victims, Finance Minister Dr Wagle expressed his gratitude to the three organisations and all members and well-wishers of these organizations for supporting the Government of Nepal during this difficult situation.
In a letter sent to Finance Minister Dr Wagle, President of the Japan Nepal Society, Prof Dr Yoko Ishida, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the devastating floods and stated that the Japan Nepal Society and its members always stand together with the Nepalese people during such difficult circumstances.
Dr Ram Chandra Bhusal, President of JAAN and the team leader of the APPIN project, stated that the funds were voluntarily collected by members of JAAN, JNS, and ISAP in response to their appeal and were handed over to the Government of Nepal.

Similarly, in April 2015, following the earthquake in Nepal, JAAN, together with the Japan Nepal Society, distributed relief materials and implemented community development programs for affected Nepalese communities. At present, the Japan Nepal Society is supporting the implementation of the Agriculture Promotion Project in Nepal (APPIN) through ISAP.
JNS is a social organization comprising highly respected Japanese members who have goodwill toward Nepal and work to strengthen Nepal–Japan relations. Through its partner organizations, JAAN and ISAP, JNS has been supporting disaster-relief programmes, conducting community development initiatives, and helping increase the income of rural communities through agricultural production and marketing programs.
JAAN, JNS, and ISAP also expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River.
