Kathmandu, Oct 4: General Secretary of the Shram Sanskriti Party, Aren Rai, stated that the Nepali Congress was established through a long process of struggle and sacrifice.
Delivering a message of best wishes at the inaugural session of the party’s 15th National General Convention, which began here today, General Secretary Rai recalled the significant role the Congress played in establishing the federal democratic governance system in Nepal.
Likewise, Founder of the Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, Resham Lal Chaudhary, stated that the Congress played a leading role in ending the Rana regime and the Panchayat system, as well as in drafting the current Constitution.
Emphasizing that the Congress needs to move forward in an even more robust and responsible manner amidst the country’s changing political landscape and evolving context, he extended his best wishes for the success of the ongoing General Convention.
Acting General Secretary of the Rastriya Janamorcha, Ghanashyam Neupane, expressed happiness that the 15th General Convention of the Congress was taking place at a historic venue and wished for the convention’s success in determining the direction of the country’s overall future.
He expressed confidence that this convention would contribute not only to the internal life of the Congress but also to the strengthening of the country’s democratic system.
