Kathmandu, July 19: The English edition of rights activist Malla K Sundar’s Nepal Bhasa book, ‘September 17,’ has been launched.
The book was translated into English by Jyoti Tuladhar and published by Adarsha Enterprises.
Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sunita Dangol, launched the translated work on Saturday and mentioned that the book is about the Newar community.
Literary critic Abhi Subedi said that through literature, the author has documented the language, customs, and culture of the Newar community.
Pushparaj Rajkarnikar from Nepal Bhasa Academy expressed his belief that the book will be useful for the preservation of the Nepal Bhasa language.
The author, Sundar, mentioned that he included topics he experienced in his own community in the book.
