Indian national apprehended with undisclosed cash

Birgunj (Parsa), Sept 12: Authorities have detained a man in possession of Indian currency that has not been accounted for.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla from the District Police Office, 55-year-old Ashok Kumar, hailing from Motihari Palanwa Police Station-10 in India, was taken into custody today with a sum of Rs 450,000.

Malla stated that during a routine patrol, the police team discovered 891 notes of Rs 500 denomination, along with Rs 200 denomination notes, and 43 notes of Rs 100 denomination concealed in the motorcycle’s trunk. An investigation is currently ongoing regarding this matter.
