Kathmandu, Sept 14: The Government of India is to provide 654 megawatts (MW) of electricity daily to Nepal.
According to a statement issued on Monday by Indian Ministry of Energy, a decision has been taken to supply electricity to the Nepal Electricity Authority until coming December 31, covering the period between midnight (12:00 AM) and 6:00 PM. A maximum of 600 MW will be supplied via the Muzaffarpur-Dhalkebar 400 KV double-circuit transmission line, and 54 MW via the Tanakpur-Mahendranagar 132 kV single-circuit transmission line.
