Kathmandu: India has sent a fifth consignment of humanitarian assistance to Nepal for people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said Wednesday morning that the latest relief consignment had been dispatched to Nepal by air.
According to Jaishankar, the fifth batch comprises 5.5 tonnes of essential medicines and an 11-member specialized rescue team equipped with necessary equipment.
India had earlier sent humanitarian relief materials and rescue teams to Nepal on four occasions following the floods.
