HoR endorses four Bills

Kathmandu, July 9: The House of Representatives (HoR) has unanimously approved the amendments made to four bills by the National Assembly.

The HoR meeting held on Thursday endorsed the amendments made to Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083; Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083; Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083; and Bill designed to amend some Nepal Acts relating to Institutes of Health Sciences by the NA.

The proposal tabled by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam on the behalf of Prime Minister Balendra Shah, seeking consideration on amendment made by NA to ‘Public Procurement (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083’ was passed unopposed.

Similarly, the proposal tabled by Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle, seeking consideration on amendment made to ‘Prevention of Money Laundering (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083’, was passed unanimously, while the proposal presented by Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, Pratibha Rawal, seeking consideration on amendment made to ‘Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’, were passed by a majority.

Likewise, the proposal tabled by Minister for Health and Food Safety, Nisha Mehta, seeking consideration on amendment made to ‘Bill designed to amend some Nepal Acts relating to Institutes of Health Sciences, 2083’ by NA was passed unopposed.
