Kathmandu, April, 15: Dorna Kumar Kunwar, a provincial assembly member from Gandaki Province, resigned from his post on Wednesday after being excluded from the newly reshuffled provincial cabinet.
Kunwar submitted his resignation with immediate effect after Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey declined to appoint him as a minister during Wednesday’s cabinet reconstitution.
In his resignation letter, Kunwar expressed gratitude to voters, supporters and well-wishers for their trust and mandate, while apologizing for failing to complete his full term.
He also pledged to continue serving the public despite no longer holding public office.
Kunwar thanked party leaders, provincial assembly members, civil servants and the media, as well as his party, the Nepali Congress, for the opportunity to serve, and extended best wishes for the successful completion of the provincial assembly and government’s tenure.
He was elected from Baglung-2 (B) constituency in the 2022 provincial elections.
