CPN (US) submits memorandum before PM Oli

Kathmandu, April 30: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has submitted a memorandum before Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli demanding reforms in various sectors including economic and social fronts.

Visiting PM Oli at his official residence, Baluwatar on Wednesday, CPN (US) office-bearers including Chairman and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal submitted the attention letter.

In the memorandum, they suggested good governance and employment as the base of socialism, while underling the improvement in agriculture, industry, education, health, tourism, information technology, infrastructure and review of foreign policy and constitution.

On the occasion, Chairman Nepal demanded the government for a proper compensation of the damages caused due to vandalism at the party office in course of the Tinkune demonstration orchestrated by the pro-monarchists on March 28.

Receiving the memorandum, PM Oli thanked the CPN (US) for submitting the suggestion in the wake of government’s policies, programmes and budget for coming fiscal year. He assured the visiting team of making attempts to incorporate the suggestions in course of budget preparation.

The PM stressed the need of protesting the untoward activities being carried out by reactionary and extremists forces.

Chairman Nepal, senior leader Prabesh Hamal, Senior Vice-Chairman Rajendra Pandey, Vice-Chairmen—Prakash Jwala, Dr Gangadhar Tuladhar, Bhanu Bhakta Joshi, General-Secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal, Secretary Sabitra Kumari Bhusal, among others were in the delegation.

The leaders also held informal talks about contemporary political issues during an one-hour-long meeting.
