Agency, April 26: Barcelona have strengthened their chances of winning the La Liga title after securing a comfortable victory on Saturday evening. They defeated Getafe 2–0 to extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
In the match played at the Coliseum Stadium, goals from Fermín López and Marcus Rashford sealed the win for Barcelona. López opened the scoring in the 45th minute, giving the visitors a 1–0 lead heading into halftime.
Rashford doubled the advantage in the 74th minute with a well-taken goal, ensuring Barcelona remained in full control. Neither side managed to add to the scoreline in the remaining minutes, and the match ended 2–0 in Barcelona’s favor.
With this victory, Barcelona sit comfortably at the top of the table with 85 points from 33 matches. Meanwhile, Getafe remain in sixth place with 44 points from the same number of games.
