Kathmandu, Oct 22: Bangladeshi all-rounder cricketer Mehidy Hasan is set to play in the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) for Pokhara Avengers. Pokhara announced that they have signed him to the team.
“Bangladesh’s top all-rounder and ICC T20 International bowling ranked eighth, Hasan, will play for Avengers in the third edition of the NPL,’’ Pokhara wrote on their Facebook page on Wednesday.
Hasan, 31, has played 78 T20 internationals and 12 One Day Internationals for Bangladesh so far. He has taken 78 wickets in T20s and 15 in ODIs. Mehidy has also played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for various six teams.
The NPL will be his first foreign league. Pokhara has also signed former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan for the third edition of the NPL. The third edition of the NPL will be held in Kathmandu starting from October 26.
