Agency, Aug 19: Al Nassr secured a convincing victory in the Saudi King’s Cup on Tuesday night, defeating Al Diriyah 4-1 in the Round of 32 to book their place in the next round.
Playing at Al-Awwal Park, Al Nassr came from behind to seal a comfortable win. João Félix scored twice, while Mohamed Simakan and Abdullah Al-Hamdan added one goal each for the hosts. Oscar Rodríguez scored Al Diriyah’s only goal.
Al Diriyah made a dream start, taking the lead in just the second minute through Rodríguez.
Al Nassr responded quickly, with Simakan finding the net in the 11th minute to level the score at 1-1. Félix then put Al Nassr ahead in the 36th minute before Al-Hamdan extended the lead just a minute later to make it 3-1 at halftime.
Félix completed his brace in the 68th minute, putting the result beyond doubt as Al Nassr wrapped up a 4-1 victory and progressed to the Round of 16.
