Janakpurdham, July 29: A person has died in a firing occurred at Golbazar of Siraha district today.
The victim was Ganesh Yadav, 15. He was shot while staging a demonstration by burning tyres on East-West Highway, according to Chief District Officer, Surendra Paudel. “Information was received on shooting that killed the boy, but it was not sure who opened the firing,” he added.
CDO Paudel further informed that investigation into the incident is underway. The District Administration Office, Siraha had imposed an indefinite curfew in Golbazar area from 2:00pm today.
Following the shooting, people have continued protesting.
