Kathmandu, May, 28 : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has invited applications for ambassadorial appointments, issuing the “Terms of Reference for Ambassador of Nepal” to formally open the selection process.
According to the ministry, the deadline for submitting applications is June 5. This marks the first time in Nepal’s history that ambassadorial positions have been opened through a public application process.
The government is seeking to appoint ambassadors to 13 countries, including China, India, and the United States. The ministry has set 15 minimum eligibility criteria for applicants.
Under the qualifications, applicants must be Nepali citizens aged at least 35 and hold a minimum bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
