French champions Paris Saint-Germain have booked their place in the UEFA Champions League final for the second consecutive season after edging past Bayern Munich 6-5 on aggregate.
PSG secured their spot despite being held to a 1-1 draw in the second leg of the semifinal on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena. The French side had already gained the upper hand with a thrilling 5-4 victory in the first leg.
Ousmane Dembélé gave PSG an early advantage, scoring in just the third minute to put his side 1-0 ahead on the night and 6-4 in the aggregate scoreline. Bayern kept pushing for a comeback and eventually found an equalizer deep into stoppage time through Harry Kane, but the German giants could not find another goal to overturn the deficit.
With the result, PSG advance to the Champions League final where they will face English club Arsenal F.C.. Arsenal reached the final for the first time in 20 years after defeating Atlético Madrid 2-1 in the semifinal.
