Arsenal reach Champions League final after 20 years

Agency, May 6: English club Arsenal have reached the final of the UEFA Champions League after 20 years. They secured their place by defeating Spanish side Atletico Madrid 1-0 in the second leg of the semifinal on Tuesday night, sealing a 2-1 aggregate victory.

The match, held at Emirates Stadium, saw Arsenal captain Bukayo Saka score the decisive goal. Saka found the net in the final minute of the first half, finishing a well-crafted assist from Leandro Trossard to give Arsenal a 1-0 lead on the night and 2-1 on aggregate.

Despite a competitive second half with chances from both sides, neither team managed to score again, confirming Arsenal’s place in the final.

Arsenal will now face the winner of the other semifinal clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

The final is scheduled to take place on May 30 at Puskas Arena in Hungary.
