Kathmandu, April 27 : The government on Monday appointed Narayan Datta Paudel as Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting, government spokesperson and Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel said.
Paudel, currently chief of the APF’s Human Resources Department, will assume office after Baisakh 18 in the Nepali calendar. Incumbent IGP Raju Aryal is set to retire on that date upon completion of his tenure.
The government moved to appoint Paudel as Aryal’s successor ahead of his scheduled retirement.
