Agency, April 4: Erling Braut Haaland delivered a sensational hat-trick as Manchester City stormed into the FA Cup semi-finals with a commanding 4-0 victory over Liverpool in Saturday’s quarter-final clash.

Playing at the Etihad Stadium, City produced a ruthless performance to book their place in the final four, with Haaland scoring three times and Antoine Semenyo adding the other goal.

Haaland opened the scoring in the 39th minute, calmly converting from the penalty spot to hand City the lead. The Norwegian striker struck again in first-half stoppage time, finishing off a fine assist from Semenyo to double the hosts’ advantage before the break.

City continued their dominance after halftime, with Semenyo making it 3-0 in the 50th minute to put Liverpool under even more pressure. Just seven minutes later, Haaland completed his hat-trick with his third goal of the evening, extending City’s lead to 4-0.

Liverpool had a chance to pull one back in the 64th minute when they were awarded a penalty, but Mohamed Salah failed to convert, missing a crucial opportunity to spark any hopes of a comeback.

Neither side managed to add to the score in the remaining minutes, as City comfortably sealed a comprehensive 4-0 win.

With the victory, Manchester City advance to the FA Cup semi-finals, while Liverpool bow out of the competition.
