Kathmandu, March, 28: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has extended congratulations to Nepal’s newly appointed Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal on assuming office.
In a message sent on Friday, Wang described China and Nepal as traditionally friendly neighbors. He noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1955, the two countries have stood together through thick and thin, with bilateral ties steadily strengthening on the basis of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, expressed readiness to work with Minister Khanal to implement key agreements reached between the two sides. He reaffirmed China’s commitment to advancing the China–Nepal strategic cooperative partnership, grounded in enduring friendship, to new heights for development and prosperity.
