Writ petition related to RSP President to be heard on Sunday

Kathmandu, March 26: The hearing on the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against the Attorney General’s decision to revise and withdraw offenses on organized crime and money laundering against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane will continue on Sunday.

SC’s Spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala shared that the hearing will continue on Sunday, as the hearing was not completed today. The hearing of the petition is before a division bench of Justice Binod Sharma and Justice Abdul Aziz Musalman.

Earlier, a division bench of Supreme Court Justices Sapana Pradhan Malla and Shrikant Poudel had ordered the petition to be listed for regular hearing.

Attorney General Sabita Bhandari Baral had decided to withdraw the money laundering and organized crime cases filed against Lamichhane.

Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi, and advocates Yubaraj Poudel and Abhas Regmi had filed separate writ petitions in the SC challenging the Attorney General’s decision to revise and withdraw the cases.
