Kathmandu, March 17: The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the police to investigate the incident that could affect Nepal-China relations and take action against the guilty.
According to the Ministry, the detailed information about the said incident was known from the letter received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the letter has been sent to the body concerned for conducting an investigation regarding the incident mentioned in the letter and for necessary action against the guilty.
China had drawn attention of the government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the burning of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s book ‘The Governance of China’ at Manmohan Technical Institute in Morang.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had corresponded to the Ministry of Home Affairs, along with the diplomatic letter received from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Kathmandu, to investigate and take action on the incident.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has corresponded with the police for necessary action on that letter. The Home Ministry has directed the District Administration and police of Morang to investigate the incident and bring the guilty to book.
