Kathmandu, March 2: Nepal Rastra Bank has directed banks and financial institutions to provide banking services on public holidays.
Issuing a directive, the central bank has urged banks and financial institutions to make arrangements to keep their offices open on Holi festival and the day of the election of members of the House of Representatives, i.e. Thursday, March 5 as well.
Rastra Bank has directed commercial banks designated to conduct government transactions to make arrangements for payment arrangements and revenue deposits.
Banks and financial institutions operating bank accounts for election campaigning have been asked to make arrangements to provide banking services including depositing and paying cash or checks or other exchange for political parties and candidates.
