Lumbini, Feb 20: Bishnu Prasad Paudel, who filed candidacy from Rupandehi-2, has pledged to take initiation for physical and human developments in a parallel way.
Paudel who also serves as the Vice Chair of CPN (UML) unveiled a ‘comprehensive commitments paper’ in view of the House of Representatives (HoR) election on Friday. The document incorporates multi-dimensional plans concerning education, health, employment, urban development, industry-trade, agriculture, tourism and good governance.
The party has pledged developing Rupandeshi-1 into a model zone on education, health, employment, industrial, infrastructure and agricultural fronts. It has also envisaged the concept for elevating Rupandehi as a leading economic centre nationwide through the protection of constitution, promotion of social justice, equity and good governance.
Upgrading Lumbini Buddhist University, attracting more students from home and abroad, prioritizing infrastructure construction and operation of Butwal medical college, establishing an agricultural and engineering campus and promoting technical education have been featured in the document.
Paudel further shared that he would focus on upgrading Butwal-Pokhara road section and building bridges at various locations along with expansion of local road connectivity. It has been also promised to implement the Greater Lumbini Area Development Programme by incorporating Butwal, Tilottam and Sainamaina areas.
