RSP’s election manifesto pledges concrete results in five years

Kathmandu, Feb 15: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has made public its election manifesto, calling it a citizen contract paper. RSP vowed concrete results in five years, arguing that voting for RSP was making investment.

The contract paper has set five priorities, including integrity and good governance, expansion of middle-income population, and modern banking with every citizen’s access to finance.

In five years, average per capita income would be raised to 3,000 US dollars. A need-based integrated social security scheme would be launched.

Other features in the contract paper include introduction of sovereign diaspora fund, and creation of 1.2 million new jobs in IT, construction, tourism, agriculture, industry and service sector. The party has further vowed ensuring the installed power capacity of the country at 15,000 MW, while the 30,000 KM national highway would be established.

Ten signature projects of national importance would be accomplished in five years, the RSP promised, adding that the Nepalis living abroad would be provided online voting.
